11 anglers fished the Specimen Lake and the conditions for the match were breezy with temperatures fallen to just 16C.
Overnight rain also had an adverse effect on the fishing.
 
That being said, Jason Mackey (Senior Haulage) drew peg 14 on the burr bank landing 159-05-00 of carp and bream to the method fished at around 20m.
His weight was well clear of the chasing field and puts him through to the October Final.
 
2^nd on the day was Lee Greenwood (Wigan) with a weight of 97-13-00 from peg 74.
His catch was made up with bream and carp all caught on the method feeder at 20m.
 
3^rd placed Warren Jennings (Bag’em) drew peg 6 landing 92-11-00 of carp and bream to the method fished at 20m and short at 6m.
 
4^th on the day was Ian White with 82-03-00 from peg 4.
Ian caught all of his bream and carp at 25m with method and boilies.
 
5^th placed Kevin Lyon drew peg 10 weighing in 76-09-00 to the method.
 
6^th to the frame was Martin Tayloe (HT Angling) from peg 12.
Martin landed mainly bream plus a few carp to weigh in 70-06-00.
