A well supported midweek qualifier that hosted 62 anglers at halfway point of the 2020 Golden Reel Qualifier campaign.
Both the Specimen and Match Lakes provided generous pegging and produced 14 weights over 100lbs.
Winner today was Garreth Lenox from peg 46 on the Match Lake.
Garreth caught all his fish with the long pole tight down his edge with 6mm pellet and corn over micro’s which produced a fine bag of carp to 12lbs and a total weight of 184-12-0.
Garreth now progresses to his first Golden Reel Grand Final, with a shot at the £50,000 winners purse.
Second on the day was Dale Jackson, who has already qualified for the September semi final.
Dale drew next to the overall winner on peg 45 on the Match Lake, landing 168-8-0. Dale caught long and shallow, short and down his edges with hard pellet.
Third overall was Anthony Price from peg 20 on the Match Lake.
Anthony fished the bomb and pellet for the full five hours of the match, bagging F1’s and carp that tipped the scales at 157-1-0, earning him a place in the September semi final.
Fourth in the frame was Perry Stone (Cresta) from peg 32 on the Match Lake.
Perry caught on the long pole dobbing and later down his edge on hard pellet, recording an all F1 and carp catch weighing 153-12-0.
Perry qualifies for the September Semi final.
Fifth overall was George Parker from the Match Lake, peg 37, with 141-2-0.
George fished the pellet waggler, bomb & pellet and down his margins with pellet and corn.
Sixth to the frame was Chris Barley with 133-4-0 from peg 40 on the Match Lake.
Chris caught on pole and pellet, landing carp and F1’s.
