Golden Reel Qualifier No 10, Woodlands View, Saturday 28th May 22

High fuel costs and rising prices nationwide is certainly having an adverse effect on numbers.
A poor turn out for this latest qualifier at Woodlands View.

Conditions on the day were good with clear skies and highs of around 18C and a gentle breeze.

Winner today an progressing to the September Final was Steve Roberts (Oakengates) who drew peg 17 on Front Deans.
Steve caught mainly down his edges with maggots weighing in 134-0-0.

Second in the frame was John Harvey (Preston) from peg 31 on Front Deans.
John fished shallow with pellet and later down his edges with maggots landing 131-9-0.
John secures a place in the semi finals.

Third overall was Aiden Mansfield (Matrix) from peg 63 on Back Deans.
Aiden fished long and shallow with casters weighing in 125-12-0 and securing a semi final placing.

Fourth to the frame was Jamie Hughes (Matrix) from peg 10 on Front Deans.
Jamie fished caster shallow landing 121-12-0.

Fifth overall was Paul Cook (Larford) with 118-2-0 from peg 34 on Front Deans.
Paul caught on caster shallow and later down his edges.
