Lakes – Covey 1,2,3,4,5,6 & Willow

Red hot conditions and very little breeze today. Spawning had also slowed things down but all that being said, catches were excellent for the 87 man field of competitors.

Winner today, and progressing to the September Grand Final, was 5 times world champion Alan Scotthorne (Drennan) who drew peg 163 on Covey 6.
Alan fished caster shallow across to the reeds landing carp and F1’s winning the match with 201-4-0.

Second overall and reaching the semi final was Graham Ramsdale from peg 166 on covey 6 with 173-14-0. Graham fished caster shallow landing carp and F1’s.

Third placed kirstian Jones (Blakes Baits) qualifies for the semi final with 133-11-0 from peg 133 on Covey 6. Kristian fished the edge with maggots over ground bait.

Fourth to frame was Andy May (MAP/Dynamite) with 122-1-0 from peg 85 on Covey 4.
Andy fished maggots shallow.

Fifth overall was James Howath from peg 18 on Covey 1. The Guru / Spotted Fin sponsored angler fished caster shallow to land carp and F1’s weighing in 119-6-0.
