Golden Reel Qualifier No 17 Meadowlands Sunday 11th July 2021

Lakes – Lambsdown / Warren.

Conditions for this latest qualifier were warm with a light breeze and highs of around 20C.

Winner today and progressing to the September Grand Final was fishery owner Mick Bull (Frenzee / Bag’em) from peg 1 on Lambsdown.
Mick knew he had drawn a flyer and started on the long pole shallow catching carp from the off.  Bad luck in that his pole folded so he reverted to both pellet waggler and bomb & pellet.
Needless to say, both the bomb and waggler worked well for him producing some carp weighing in at 273-12-0.

Second overall and qualifying for the Semi Final was Jason Cawthorne from the next peg to Mick being on peg 2 on Lambsdown.
Jason fished long & shallow on the pole & pellet and later the method long landing 211-4-0.

Third placed Stuart Fotheringham drew peg 4 on Lambsdown with 180-0-0, all caught on pole shallow and method long.
Stu also progressed to the Semi Final.

Fourth to the frame was Fran O’Rielly (Frenzee) from peg 70 on Lambsdown. Fran caught on long pole shallow and method feeder long weighing in 127-11-0
