Golden Reel Qualifier No14, Barston Lakes, Saturday 8^th July 2023

For this latest qualifier at Barston Lakes today, the conditions were warm and humid with odd heavy showers, mixed with bright spells.

Winner today and progressing to the final was Ryan MacDonald from peg 121.
Ryan caught some early fish slapping with pellet and later fishing bomb & pellet to land 225-14-0 and a place in the September Grand final.

Second on the day was Warren Jennings from peg 114.
Warren fished bomb & pellet for most of the match, landing carp and bream that scaled in at 165-0-0
Warren qualifies for the Semi Finals.

Third placed Josh Palmer drew peg 26 on the River Bank pegs, landing 147-5-0.
Josh caught on the long pole slapping and later switched to the hybrid feeder fishing long.
Josh also qualifies for the Semi Finals.

Fourth overall was Paul Fox from peg 52.
Paul fished shallow and slapping on pellet weighing in 137-0-0.

Fifth to the frame was Jack Fuller from peg 124 with 136-12-0 all caught on bomb & pellet.
