A very different day for this latest qualifier with heavy rain and much lower temperatures. Highs of around 20C and stiff breeze all day soaking the 71 strong field of anglers.
Winner today was paste king, Luke Bamford who drew peg 115 on Lake 8.
From the off, Luke attacked the edges with paste feeding pellet. Luke was quickly into carp finishing the day with a bumper bag of carp that weighed in at a massive 284-10-0.
Luke books his place in the September Grand final and a shot at the £50k purse and Golden Reel 2020 title.
Second overall was Adam Wakelin (Daiwa) from peg 65 on Lake 3.
Adam fished the pole shallow with bunches of dead reds as hook bait and feeding maggot to land 279-14-0 of prime carp.
Adam now qualifies for the September 9th Semi final, and a great shot of making the Grand Final.
Third to the frame was Sam Collett (Guru / Dynamite) from peg 76 on Lake 5.
Sam fished hard pellet short on the pole landing 261-5-0 and booking his place in the September Semi Final.
4th placed Rob Wooton (Dynamite) drew peg 79 on Lake 5 and fished hard pellet short landing a big 250-4-0 of carp and a few bream.
5th to the frame was Kristian Jones from peg 85 on pool 5

A big thank you to Roy Marlow at the Glebe for a brilliant qualifier. There were 6 weights over 200lbs, and 15 weights over 100lbs.
Doesn’t get better than that does it!!
