Golden Reel Qualifier No18 Decoy Lakes Tuesday 13th July 2021

Lakes Elm, Cedar, Oak & 6 Islands.

Barry Mason (Guru / Mainline) has been a big supporter of the Golden Reel qualifiers and was rewarded today with a place on the September Grand Final.
Barry drew peg 22 on 6 Islands and fished most of the match on corn tight down his edges. This tactic produced a superb bag of carp which weighed in at 224-9-0 and well clear of his nearest rival.
A big well done to Barry.

Second on the day was Simon Skelton (Dynamite / Melton Mowbray Pork Pies) who drew peg 1 on Elm.
Simon fished dead reds down his edges to finish the day with an impressive 183-14-0 of good quality carp.
Simon is rewarded with a place in the Semi Finals.

Third placed Ben Bell (Maver) also qualifies for the Semi Finals with a cracking 180-7-0 from peg 2 on the Oak Lake. Ben fished caster shallow.

Fourth to the frame was Chris Barley (Dynamite) from peg 13 on Elm.
Chris caught on the pole shallow with casters weighing in 143-9-0.

Fifth overall was Guy Baron from peg 20 on 6 Islands with 127-2-0 all caught down his edges on corn.
