70 anglers fished this latest qualifier. Conditions for the match were good with highs of around 22C, a gentle breeze and bright sunshine.
Winner today and progressing to the September Grand Final was Perry Stone (Cresta) who drew peg 5 on the Specimen Lake.
Watching Perry, I have to say I witnessed a near perfect performance on the pellet waggler and the long pole shallow.
Perry fished the pellet waggler at around 30m with banded 8mm pellet and later in the day fished the pole at 16m, finishing the day with a massive 266-3-0 of carp to 20lbs.
Second overall and qualifying for the semi final was Steve Forster (Browning) from peg 30 on the Match Lake.
Steve caught on the pole shallow with pellet and later down his edges with meat over ground bait weighing in 238-6-0.
Third placed Chris Lane drew peg 37 on the Specimen Lake landing 200-4-0.
Chris kept it simple feeding ground bait down his edge with corn hook bait, bagging a superb bag of quality carp to 18lbs.
Chris is rewarded with a Semi Final placing.
Fourth to the frame was Les Marshall (Dynamite) who drew beach peg 1 on the Specimen Lake.
Les caught shallow on casters and later fed ground bait down his edge with pellet hook baits to record 169-12-0 at the scales.
Fifth placed Dale Shepherd drew peg 12 on the Match Lake weighing in 162-13-0 all caught on caster shallow.
In all there were 21 weights over 100lbs and 3 weights over 200lbs.
