Golden Reel Qualifier No21 Barston Lakes Sunday 8th August 2021

Conditions today were much cooler with highs of only 18C. A stiff wind also made for difficult presentation on the day.

Winner today and progressing to the September 11^th Grand Final was Paddy McMahon who drew peg 20 on the river bank pegs.
Paddy’s simple approach was PVA bags fished both short and long with various waffter hook baits. Paddy was rewarded with some good carp that weighed in at 89-0-0.

Second overall was Darren Sanders from peg 124.
Darren fished the method feeder short and pellet waggler ending up just one fish short of the overall winner with 82-2-0.
Darren progresses to the September Semi Final.

Third to the frame was Lee Farmer from peg 26 with 68-2-0 of carp all caught on PVA bags fished at distance.
Lee also progresses to the September 1^st Semi Final at Larford Lakes.

Fourth overall was Mark Stainsby from peg 14. Mark fished the method short with waffter hook baits weighing in 63-8-0.

Fifth to the frame was Callum Dicks (Maver) with a fine bag of skimmers & bream that weighed in at 58-12-0 from peg 97.

Next qualifiers – Partridge Lakes Saturday 14^th & The Glebe Sunday 15^th August.

Final qualifier of the 2021 campaign is Larford Lakes on Sunday August 22^nd 2021.
