Anglers today faced a tough match as the fish at the Glebe had been spawning heavily.
On top of that, temperatures were around 20-21C with bright sunshine all day.
All that being said, there was a number of impressive weights recorded.
Winner today and making his third Grand Final was Sam Brown (Maver) from peg No 126 on Pool 9.
Sam was not impressed with his draw but it turned out trumps for him with a level 300-0-0lbs.
Sam fished shallow rig and later finding a few down his edge finishing 88lbs clear of his nearest rival.
Second on the day was John Hawkins from peg 1 on pool 1.
John fished shallow all day with pellet on the pole, weighing in 211-14-0 and earning a place in the Semi Final.
Third placed Sam Collet also qualifies for the Semi Final with 198-12-0 from peg 75 on Lake 4.
Sam caught shallow on the pole all day and later down his edges on maggot, catching quality carp.
Fourth to frame was Matthew Threlfall from peg 25 on pool 1, Matt fished shallow on the pole and pellet, landing carp that scaled in at 188-13-0.
Fifth overall was Danny Squire from peg 85 on Pool 5.
Danny caught most of his fish shallow on the pole and pellet, finishing the day with 175-0-0.
