Larford Lakes, Match & Specimen Lake
A dull and overcast day with highs of around 18c and a gentle breeze.
So conditions looked good and weights were plentiful on both lakes.
The winner on each lake of 24 anglers would put them in the Grand Final and a chance of lifting the crown and a massive £50,000 pay day.
Winner on the Match Lake and certain to be a big threat in the final was Alex Walker who drew peg 24 on the grass bank.
Alex caught on the method feeder casting close to the island with banded pellet landing quality carp and F1’s.
Later in the match, he fished his edge and caught well to finish the match with a massive 243-7-0.
Second from the Match Lake was Krzysztof Frackmwiak from peg 42 on the Match Burr Bank.
Krz fished a simple match, catching a few carp on the method casting to the island and later tight down his edge, finishing the day with 230-4-0. Just two fish short of an overall finalist place.
Third to the frame was Steve Forster from peg 48 on the burr bank with 207-12-0 of edge fish to meat and hard pellet hook baits.
