Golden Rod Feeder Barston Lakes Saturday 26th January 2019

A full 60 peg sell out turned out at the popular Barston Lakes. Conditions on the day gentle breeze with highs of around 6C.
Winner today was retailer, Martin Taylor (H.T. Angling) who drew peg 17.
Martin approach was the method feeder and waffters fished at distance which rewarded him with carp and F1’s for a weight of 59-13-00 and a place in the March final.
2nd overall was Ivan Winch from peg 16. Clearly an area where a few fish were held up and the method fished long with waffters produced 54-08-00 of carp just 5lbs behind the winner.
3rd to frame was Mick Bull (Bag’em / Frenzee) who drew peg 23. Mick also fished the method long with micro’s and waffters landing 52-08-00.
4th placed Lee Jepson drew peg 105 landing 51-12-00 to the method.
Lee’s catch puts him in the March Grand Final.
5th overall was Carl Barnfield from peg 51.
Carl’s catch of 39-12-00 was made up with carp and bream to the method. Carl also books his place in the March Grand Final.
