Golden Rod Feeder | Barston Lakes | Saturday 2nd December 2017

A sellout 60 pegs braved out the subzero temperatures. Bites were always going to be difficult to come by but many of the field chose to brave it out and fish for carp long on the method and boilies.

Very few carp were caught and it was skimmers that made up most of the section weights.

That being said the winner Rob Upex (Chiltern Baits) drew peg 124 and fished the method & waffters landing 1 carp and 4 F1’s to weigh 21-10-00 winning overall and placing himself in the March Final.

2nd on the day was Simon Wilmore (Rive) who drew peg 44.
Simon fished a cage feeder at 28m with worm & dead reds landing 21-00-00 of skimmers and bream.

3rd placed Simon Fry (Garbolino) was unlucky not reach the grand final, falling just 8oz short in his zone of 20.
Simon caught 4 carp long at around 80m on the method feeder weighing 20-8-00.

4th placed Joe Carass (DHP) fished the cage feeder with worm and dead reds casting around 30m to land skimmer for a total weight of 17-10-00.

5th placed Mick Vials (Preston) drew peg 90 and fished the cage feeder with worm and dead reds to weigh 16-10-00 of skimmers.

6th on the day was Andy Power (Preston) who drew peg 40 weighing in 15-12-00 of skimmers.
Andy fished the cage feeder at 30m with worm and dead reds.
