Conditions on the day were difficult with bright sunshine and very little breeze. Highs of around 20C with fish swimming shallow on both lakes. Also attendance was disappointing with just 58 anglers in attendance.
Winner today and progressing to the September Grand Final was Scott Jones who drew peg 21 on the Match Lake. Scott fished tight down his edges with soft pellet over micro and a few fish at 6m recording a superb catch of carp and F1’s weighing in at 203-4-0.
Second overall was Krzystof Frackowiak from peg 18 on the Match Lake.
krz fished the margin with dead reds over ground bait catching carp and F1’s that weighed in at 190-13-0.
Krzysztof qualifies for the Semi Final so still in with a big shot for a final placing.
Third to the frame was Prezmek Solski from peg 36 on the Match Lake.
Prez fished short and down his edges fishing corn hook bait, landing 149-9-0 and clinching a Semi Final placing.
Fourth placed was Steve Fone who drew peg 17 on the Match Lake, fishing meat down his edge to record a weight of 122-0-0.
Fifth to the frame was Peter Upperton (Guru / Mainline) from the Specimen Lake from peg 9 on the Burr bank.
Pete fished slapping on the pole with pellet and later on meat short, fished to depth landing 109-13-0.
