Winner today and progressing to the Grand Final was Ryan Bennett, who makes his third appearance in the finals.
Ryan drew peg 1 on the Match lake and started on the method feeder short. Later switching to his edge, Ryan hammered out a brilliant 299-3-0 of quality carp and F1’s all caught over micro pellet with dead red hook baits.
Ryan probably should have weighed nearer 350lbs but was knocked back on two nets.
Second placed George Woodhead drew peg 22 on the Chalet Bank of the Specimen Lake and caught from the off on short pole fishing over ground bait with worm hook bait.
George weighed in 254-4-0 and a place in the Semi Finals.
Third to frame was Jamie Hughes (Matrix) from peg 30 on the match burr with 231-3-0.
Jamie had 40lbs of bits in the first hour and then found quality carp down his edges to claim a semi final placing.
Fourth placed Perry Stone (Cresta) drew peg 19 on the Match Grass Bank weighed in 228-12-0 all caught down his edge for the full 5 hours duration.
Perry caught over pellet with corn hook baits.
Fifth on the day was George Parker from peg 33 on the Match Lake.
George caught early on the method feeder short and later switching to his edges on the pole, landing 219-1-0 of carp and F1’s all caught over pellet with corn hook baits.
