Conditions today presented a high pressure. There was a decent breeze which helped and fish showing shallow on most pegs.
The 76 strong field chose to fish with pellet wagglers and method feeders fished at distance.
Winner on the day was Mick Bull (Frenzee / Dynamite) who drew fancied peg 124.
Needless to say, Mick fished at distance with the method feeder and later cast down the reed edge to land quality carp all day to various waffter hook baits.
His match was faultless landing 186-14-0 to book his final placing in September.
Mick qualifies for the second year running and is certain to be one of the favourites in the coming final.

Prezmek fished the method at extreme distance landing carp and F1’s to various waffter hook baits.
Third in the frame was Paul Cook (Frenzee) who drew peg 21.
Paul fished a tidy match, fishing the method at distance with mini pinned boilies landing 65-2-0 of carp and F1’s.
Fourth overall was Paul Terry from peg 54. Paul fished short on the method constantly pinging pellets over the top to register an all carp catch of 52-0-0.
Fifth in the frame was Ian Crossman with 49-4-0.
Ian fished the ‘tea bag’ at distance with pellet or waffter hook baits.
