Blistering conditions, highs of 34C, no breeze and burning sunshine despite these horrific conditions in terms of angling, there were some superb weights recorded.
Winner today and progressing to the 2022 Grand Final was Lee Riley (Baits Tec) who drew peg 105 on Covey 5.
Lee fished hard pellet down his edges and to the aerator, fishing shallow with casters weighing in 169-15-0.
A strange day with F1’s shutting shop but the carp making up the top weights.
Second overall was Jamie Hughes (Matrix) who drew peg 121 on Covey 5.
Jamie fished shallow with casters weighing in 167-2-0. Two more carp would have seen Jamie into the final.
Third to the frame was Sam Slockett (Preston / Sonu) from peg 130 on Covey 5.
Sam fished tight across into the mud with maggot over ground bait to weigh in 167-0-0 and a place in the Semi Finals.
Fourth placed Carl Harvey drew peg 113 on Covey 5 and fished tight across with worm over ground bait to weigh in 128-2-0 and a place in the Semi Finals.
Sixth placed James Howarth weighed in 120-6-0 from peg 62 on Covey 3
