Conditions today were bright sunshine with highs of around 23C and a gentle easterly wind.
Winner today and progressing to the Grand Final on September 10th was Adam Rumble (Preston) who drew peg 19 on the Match Lake.
Adam caught early, fishing shallow and later found carp and F1’s racked up down his edges finishing the day with a massive 250-14-0.
Second on the day was John Harvey (Wales) with 245-6-0 from peg 20 on the Match Lake.
It was nip and tuck between him and Adam Rumble and John fell short by a single fish on making the final.
John caught shallow and down his edges.
Third placed Tony Gilbert drew peg 9 on the specimen burr landing some huge carp long down his edges weighing in 238-9-0 and claiming a place in the Semi Finals.
Fourth to the frame was Jamie Hughes (Matrix) from peg 6 on the Specimen Burr.
Jamie started on the pellet waggler and later reverted to his edges landing some massive carp and weighing in 209-5-0
Fifth placed Simon Fry (Garbolino) drew peg 13 on the Specimen Lake, catching some big carp on the pellet waggler and later short and down his edges to weigh in 167-4-0 and a place in the September Semi Final.
