Golden Reel Qualifier No 5, The Glebe Sunday 23rd April 2023

A full sell out for this Sunday qualifier.
Conditions today were a very cool 11-12 and a strong breeze. Overnight had seen heavy rain and wind.

Winner today and progressing to the final was Rob Taylor (Guru / Mainline) who drew peg 85 on pool 5.
Rob kept things pretty simple, catching on the 16m line down his edges with pellet and also long pole shallow with pellet weighing in an impressive 195-4-0.

Second overall was Kurtis Tranter, who drew peg 6 on Pool 1.
Kurtis fished the waggler across with pellet and also bomb and pellet weighing in 174-10-0. Kurtis books his place in the Semi Final.

Third overall was Alex Feeney from peg 109 on Pool 7,
Alex weighed in 151-0-0 all caught on pole & pellet and qualifies for the Semi Finals.

Fourth in the frame was Tyler Bird from peg 101 on pool 7. Tyler caught on the long pole with pellet and also feeder across to weigh in 146-14-0.

Fifth placed Mark Griffiths (Guru/Mainline) drew peg 49 on pool 3, catching on the long pole shallow and pole down his edge with pellet, weighing in 140-12-0.
