Golden Reel Qualifier No 5, Woodlands View, Saturday June 20th

Lakes :- Hay, Barley, Front Deans, Back Deans, High and Arles.

86 anglers turned out for this latest qualifier. Conditions on the day were humid with highs of around 22C.

Winner today with a weight of 146-10-0 was Sam Slockett (Preston / Sonu Baits) who drew peg 62 on Back Deans.
Sam fished banded pellet down his edges landing carp and F1’s. Sam progresses to the September Grand Final and a shot at the £50k title.

2^nd overall was Mike McMillan (Garbolino / Spotted Fin) with 138-13-0 from peg 10 on Hay.
Mike fished the long pole with pellet, bagging carp and F1’s.
Mike qualifies for the semi final on Wednesday 9^th September, so has a chance to reach the 2020 final.

3^rd placed Jamie Hughes (Matrix) drew peg 31 on Front Deans landing 136-8-0 to the pole shallow.
Jamie has already booked his place in the September semi final but still remains confident of an automatic qualification.

4^th on the day  was Aidan Mansfield (Matrix / Dynamite) who drew peg 39 on Back Deans.
Aidan fished pole and pellet down his edge recording a weight of 134-8-0 and booking his place in the September semi final.

Joint 4^th place was Stephen Roberts (Oakengates) who drew peg 1 on Front Deans.
Steve fished maggot short also recording a weight of 134-8-0.
Steve also qualifies for the September Semi-final.

5^th placed Carl Hopps drew 21 on Front Deans and fished pole and pellet long down his edge, landing 130-6-0 of carp and F1’s.
