Golden Reel Qualifiers No5 The Glebe Fishery Saturday 30th April 2022

A warm day for this latest qualifier with clear skies, little or no breeze and highs of around 17C.
Fish could be seen everywhere swimming shallow so overall, that was clearly the main plan of attack.

Winner today and progressing to yet another Golden Reel Final was Preston’s Andy Power who drew peg 112 on pool 8.
Andy fished the long pole shallow with pellet catching carp shallow and also mugging tactics.
Andy finished the day with a brilliant 298-0-0.

Second overall was in form Mark Griffiths (Guru) who drew peg 20 on Lake 1.
Mark caught all his fish casting a pellet waggler shallow tight across the far bank weighing in 219-15-0.
Mark automatically qualifies for the Semi Finals.

Third placed Kurtis Tranter also qualifies for the September semi finals, weighing in 189-10-0.
Kurtis drew peg 68 on Lake 4 and fished the pellet waggler shallow.

Fourth in the frame was Luke Bamford who put his faith onto his trusted paste attack.
Luke fished down his edges weighing in 179-0-0 from peg 105 on Lake 7.

Fifth overall was Chris Barley from peg 86 on pool 6.
Chris fished an open end feeder tight across weighing in 160-6-0.
