Following red hot temperatures in excess of 27C, the qualifier faced a rapid temperature change with highs of only 14C on the day of the qualifier.
This big change to the conditions put the resident Specimen Lake carp into a moody situation with very few carp prepared to feed.
The Match Lake was a different story with plenty of carp and F1’s feeding well. The Arena was also moody with most of the resident carp swimming shallow.
The 100 peg sell out was handled well with social distancing both at the draw and at the pegs.
Every effort was applied to keep the anglers safe and many of the competitors praised the organisers for a professional and safe competition.
