40 anglers on Match & Specimen Lakes
Wednesday the 9th put together the 40 semi finalists all hoping to qualify for Saturdays Grand Final.
The semi was fished with 20 anglers drawn on the Match Lake and 20 on the Specimen Lake.
To qualify, the anglers had to win their lake.
Winner on the Match Lake and progressing to Saturdays final was Tony Coates who drew peg 28 on the Match Lake.
Tony fished a very impressive match, catching shallow on pellet and tight down his edges to weigh in a massive 222-6-0.
Very well done and a place in the final.
Winner of the Specimen Lake was Rob Taylor who drew peg 74 on the Chalet bank.
Rob fished the long pole with 6 & 8mm pellets shallow, picking off some large carp early in the match. Rob also found a few bream and skimmers to bomb and pellet to qualify with 74-15-0.
Rob is rewarded with a Grand Final placing.
